Identity Corridors

The concept of Identity Corridors was first introduced in the Long-Term Plan Review 2022 and builds on our Identity Node initiative to retain distinctive neighbourhoods.

Introduction

URA is developing plans to enhance our Identity Corridors to create meaningful public spaces and improve connectivity.

Kallang River

Kallang River will be sensitively revitalised with new community nodes and public spaces to serve a growing population living and working along the river.

Historic East

The Historic East Corridor is a special blend of old and new that locals and visitors have come to love and cherish.

Inner Ring

Stretching 12-kilometres long, a revitalised Inner Ring Corridor will connect city fringe districts such as Tiong Bahru, Jalan Besar, and Newton.

Rail Corridor

Ten community nodes along the Rail Corridor serve as gathering spaces for the community. Four nodes have been implemented and more are on the horizon.
